In this series of talks, we will delve into the history of liberation in Tibet. Although this great land has produced so many remarkable beings, there are some that stand apart. We will discuss sacred biographies and accounts of great meditation masters from all sects of Tibetan Buddhism. To know about these beings\u2014their struggles, sacrifices, and triumphs\u2014is to know about something much larger than our own lives. Yet, we can learn and derive such profound inspiration from them. If you wish to know the true spirit of Tibet, if you wish to look past the statues and thangkas, and look into the very marrow of this great land, knowing about her heroes is what I would suggest. Language is English with German translation. In <\/span>Series 3<\/span><\/b>, we will discuss the lives of four great Geluk masters:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    The third and the last series for now, is about great Tibetan masters from the Gelugpa tradition. First amongst them are the great<\/span> Tsongkhapa <\/span><\/b>and his heart sons. Prophesied by the Buddha and Guru Rinpoche of becoming an unstoppable force of Dharma, the life of the great Tsongkhapa is equal to the lives of the great Indian masters. Considered to be one of the greatest emanations of Manjushri, he is credited to have revitalised Tibetan Buddhism by gathering the essential teachings of many existing traditions in Tibet and presenting them in a unique way. The life of Je Rinpoche and his heart sons are full of inspiration and blessing.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    After this we will talk about two great reincarnation lineages that came from this great tradition, starting with the <\/span>First Dalai Lama<\/span><\/b> and the <\/span>First Panchen Lama.<\/span><\/b> For centuries these two Tulku lineages have worked hand in hand to alleviate the suffering of all beings and in particular of Tibetans. Their name and their image have now become synonymous with the identity of Tibet and Tibetans.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Lastly, I would like to talk about the <\/span>Sixth Dalai Lama<\/span><\/b>. Arguably the most distinct Gelugpa master, his life is full of political and spiritual turmoils, and many believe that he succumbed to those at a very young age. My main focus during this session will be upon his secret biography that speaks otherwise. This biography gives us a glimpse into the mystical world of wisdom mind stripped away of name, status, and identity. It is a story of triumph, of good against bad, kindness against aggression, of loyalties repaid in full, and relentless attempts of a compassionate being to liberate ignorant and often belligerent beings.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Do Tulku Rinpoche<\/span><\/b> is the\u202fSpiritual Director of Arya Tara\u2019s Net, an online community and center for Buddhist studies based in Windeck, Germany. Recognized as the reincarnation of the 5th RaktrulRinpoche, he received an eleven-year training in Buddhist philosophy, practice and debate at Dzongsar Institute in\u202fIndia. Since then, he has been teaching in India, Nepal, Europe, the U.S, and South America. Rinpoche has received teachings, transmissions, and initiations from some of the greatest masters of our time, including H.H. Dalai Lama, H.H. Sakya Trichen, Khenchen Kunga Wangchuk, Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche, H.H. Dagchen Rinpoche, H.E. Luding Khenchen Rinpoche, H.E. Jigme Khyentse Rinpoche and others. Rinpoche has worked with the 84000 translation project for several years as a translator and Himalayan expert and is currently working with the Khyentse Vision Project as the traditional scholar expert. One of his main activities is the Bodhisattva Project, an online study program with participants from around the world. He is appreciated for his learned, interactive, humorous and often unconventional way of communicating Buddhist teachings.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      Die dritte und vorerst letzte Reihe dieser Serien von Abendvortr\u00e4gen widmet sich gro\u00dfen tibetischen Meistern der Gelugpa-Tradition. An erster Stelle stehen dabei der gro\u00dfe <\/span>Tsongkhapa <\/span><\/b>und seine Hauptsch\u00fcler. Vom Buddha und von Guru Rinpoche als eine unaufhaltsame Kraft des Dharma prophezeit, ist das Leben des gro\u00dfen Tsongkhapa den Lebensgeschichten der gro\u00dfen indischen Meister ebenb\u00fcrtig. Als eine der bedeutendsten Emanationen von Manjushri angesehen, wird ihm zugeschrieben, den tibetischen Buddhismus erneuert zu haben, indem er die wesentlichen Lehren der verschiedenen in Tibet bestehenden Traditionen zusammenf\u00fchrte und sie auf einzigartige Weise darlegte.
