An invitation to experience stillness, compassion, and inner joy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Exhibition<\/strong><br \/>\nFor more than fourteen years, internationally acclaimed photographer and physician Jon Kolkin\u00a0lived among\u00a0Buddhist practitioners throughout the Himalayas. His photographs, taken in monasteries,\u00a0nunneries, \u00a0living quarters, and everyday situations, offer rare insights into meditative practice, human warmth, and inner stability. Kolkin\u2019s work blends documentary clarity with an atmosphere of deep mindfulness and serenity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Unique Artistic Technique<\/strong><br \/>\nThe exhibition features hand\u2011crafted palladium prints that were further enhanced in Bhutan using traditional thangka painting techniques. This extraordinary combination of photography and Buddhist art creates works of remarkable depth and presence. The series has been exhibited in museums and cultural institutions\u00a0on four continents\u00a0and is now being shown in Frankfurt for the first time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Opening Event<\/strong><br \/>\nThe exhibition will open on Thursday, March 6, 2026, at 7:30 pm at Tibethaus Deutschland. Jon Kolkin will be present and will give a talk entitled \u201cFinding the Joy: Scientific and Buddhist Perspectives.\u201d A conversation with the artist will follow.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Jon Kolkin<\/strong><br \/>\nJon Kolkin is widely exhibited and internationally recognized. He\u00a0spearheaded\u00a0the North American Museum Summit in India (including an audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama) and contributed to the documentary film \u201cMan of Compassion\u201d about the 14th Dalai Lama. Die handgefertigten Palladium-Drucke, weiterverarbeitet im traditionellen Thangka-Stil, sind weltweit einzigartig und erstmals in Frankfurt zu sehen. Eine Einladung zu Stille, Mitgef\u00fchl und innerer Freude.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Die Ausstellung<\/strong><br \/>\n\u00dcber vierzehn Jahre hinweg begleitete der international ausgezeichnete Fotograf und Arzt Jon Kolkin buddhistische Praktizierende im Himalaya. In Kl\u00f6stern, Wohnr\u00e4umen und Alltagsszenen entstanden Fotografien, die seltene Einblicke in meditative Praxis, Menschlichkeit und innere Stabilit\u00e4t geben. Kolkins Arbeiten verbinden dokumentarische Klarheit mit einer Atmosph\u00e4re tiefer Achtsamkeit und innerer Ruhe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Die einzigartige Technik<\/strong><br \/>\nDie Ausstellung pr\u00e4sentiert handgefertigte Palladium-Drucke, die in Bhutan im traditionellen Thangka-Stil weiterbearbeitet wurden. Diese weltweit einmalige Verbindung von Fotografie und buddhistischer Kunst verleiht den Werken eine besondere Tiefe und Pr\u00e4senz. M\u00e4rz 2026, um 19:30 Uhr im Tibethaus Deutschland statt. Jon Kolkin wird pers\u00f6nlich anwesend sein und den Vortrag \u201eFinding the Joy: Scientific and Buddhist Perspectives\u201c halten.
