The mostly volunteer staff of the Tibet Heritage Fund are for us modern cultural bodhisattvas who, for decades, have been accomplishing great projects through their committed, demanding, and skilled work. The THF\u2019s work began with urban conservation efforts in Lhasa and the restoration of Buddhist monasteries in Central Tibet, Sichuan, Qinghai, Ladakh, and Mongolia. Since 2003, the THF has been actively engaged in preserving cultural heritage in Ladakh. The THF\u2019s approach combines traditional building techniques with modern conservation science to preserve the unique Tibetan cultural heritage, some of which is over a thousand years old. After the presentation, the experts engage in a discussion with the participants.<\/p>\n
