The first lecture will contextualise Tibet within Asia, focusing on the Tibetan imperial period (c. 600\u2013841) and the introduction into the country of a multilayered Buddhism that grew in popularity even after the fall of the empire. The second lecture will describe the importance of tantric Buddhism for post-imperial Tibetans, the beginnings of the schools of Tibetan Buddhism and the changes that took place with the rise of the Mongol empire in the thirteenth century. The third lecture will investigate the relationship between power and cultural productivity in the post-Mongol times and under the government of the Dalai Lamas (1642\u20131959).<\/p>\n<p><b>Time | 19 till 21 CET<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Our Course Fees \u2013 Based on Mutual Support<\/b><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Some contribute a little more so that others can pay less \u2013 together we create an open and diverse community. We trust that everyone will choose the fee level that best suits their personal circumstances.
