The instructions for coming to know our true nature can sound so very simple: “just rest” say the great Mahamudra teachings. What a relief, what an inviting directive. But what does it mean to rest? What does it mean to relax “as we are”? This weekend we’ll explore Machig Labdron’s instructions on how to work with our minds and our hearts in order to glimpse the primordial ease which we are told is our natural state. For those with experience, this weekend will offer a joyful deepening of your meditation practice; for those new to meditation, the seminar offers an entry to the depth and beauty of meditative practice. Language is English with German translation.

An diesem offenen Abend, der jeden Mittwoch stattfindet, praktizieren wir gemeinsam grundlegende buddhistische Meditationen, die uns zur Ruhe kommen lassen und die die Entwicklung von Achtsamkeit, Mitgefühl und Erkenntnis fördern.
In regelmäßigen Abständen leitet der langjährige Zen-Praktizierende Pierre Gorsegner die Meditation in der Tradition des japanischen Zen Soto-shu an.
Anmeldung und Vorkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich. Interessierte sind jederzeit willkommen.

Skymind is an invitation to rest into the wholeness of being. This may be likened to an experience of spaciousness, expansiveness, and also of radiance and loving warmth. These beautiful teachings, drawn from the work of 11th century Tibetan yogini Machig Labdrön and the Mahamudra lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, come to life in our direct experience, and can infuse our everyday with insight, compassion and joy. They are reminders that we can actually dare to rest into our true, brilliant nature, just as we are. Join us for an evening of lecture, discussion, and practice, as we highlight some gems of these teachings and their relevance in daily life. The event includes a booksigning of the recently released book Skymind: The Radical Path of Open Awareness/Secret Teachings from Machig Labrdön, Tibet’s Great Wisdom Mother (Shambhala Publications). Language is English with German translation.
