Tibet House: About us

Tibet House Germany is in the west of Frankfurt in a quarter called “Bockenheim”. We recommend arriving by public transport.

“Friesengasse” is the extension of “Leipziger Straße”, very close to the underground line stop “Kirchplatz” (U6 and U7).

Take either tram line U6, direction “Heerstraße”, or U7, direction “Hausen”, till the stop “Kirchplatz”. Please leave the stop via exit “Rödelheimer Straße”, cross the street at the special traffic lights for pedestrians, then straight on along “Appelsgasse”. After two minutes you’re at its end and in front of the light blue gate leading to Tibet House.

Take the underground line U4, direction “Bockenheimer Warte” for two stops (end of line). Change to line U6, direction “Heerstraße”, or line U7, direction “Hausen” till the stop “Kirchplatz”. Leave the stop via exit “Rödelheimer Straße”, cross the street at the special traffic lights for pedestrians, then for two minutes straight along “Appelsgasse” to its end where you find the light blue gate leading to Tibet House.

Take anyone of the “U” or “S” lines, direction city center (“Innenstadt”). At the stop “Hauptwache” change to line U6, direction “Heerstraße”, or line U7, direction “Hausen”, and get out at the stop “Kirchplatz”. Leave the stop via exit “Rödelheimer Straße”, cross the street at the special traffic lights for pedestrians, and follow “Appelsgasse” for two minutes to its end. There you’ll find yourself in front of the light blue gate leading to Tibet House

At autobahn crossing Frankfurt change to A 66, direction ‘Miguelallee’. Take the first exit “Hausen/Rödelheim”. At the end of the exit turn right.

Then straight on across a roundabout direction “Bockenheim/Hausen”. The road leads across a long bridge at the end of which there are traffic lights. Turn left into direction “Ginnheim”. Now you are in “Rödelheimer Straße”. Take the second exit on the right into the very small “Fleischergasse” and find somewhere to park.

The first street across is “Friesengasse”. Walk against the one-way street for about 50 m. You’ll find Tibet House on the right.

If you don’t want to frantically find a parking space in our quarter, we recommend parking your car at the train station “Westbahnhof”:

At the Northwest autobahn crossroads change onto A 66 direction ‘Miguelallee’. Take the first exit “Hausen/Rödelheim”. At the end of the exit turn right.

Then straight on across a roundabout into direction “Bockenheim/Hausen”. The road leads across a long bridge at the end of which there are traffic lights. Continue straight on along ‘Schlossstraße’. Then turn right into “Kurfürstenstraße”. Park near the station.

Walking to Tibet House takes about 10 minutes: Cross “Schlossstraße” onto “Kurfürstenplatz”. Cross the square and turn left into “Große Seestraße”. Its extension, “Kleine Seestraße”, ends at “Hülya-Platz”, a square. On the left, behind the long wall, is Tibet House. The entrance is opposite a pizza place.
